Hello! I'm Adam, a PhD Candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, where I conduct motor neuroscience research advised by Dr. Steven Chase and Dr. Aaron Batista. I received my B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2018. I'm affiliated with the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition and CMU Neuroscience Institute.

My research focuses on how the brain translates increases in motivation to invigorated movements. I study the encoding of movement information in populations of motor cortex neurons during tasks where performance is modulated by varying cued rewards.

More broadly, I'm motivated by any problem solving that ultimately leads to helping others and involves fun computational methods.
